Biker to my daughter poster. “We had never done a movie in our life and yet we pulled it off,” Sanfilippo said. “One thing about Charlie is he would come up with these ideas that I would think‘ There’s no way we could do this, ‘yet he would always pull it off. Brechtel was putting the finishing touches on a second film he produced with Sanfilippo titled “Rough Boys,” which Sanfilippo said he still plans to release this year.
Sanfilippo said part of the motivation behind producing the films was to help preserve motorcycle culture, which Brechtel would refer to as “motorcycle-ism.” They were also in talks on producing a documentary series about the culture for Netflix. “Charlie had no other plans but living because he had so many other things to do,” Sanfilippo said. “It brings me to tears knowing I can never talk to him again, when I used to talk to him everyday.”
