Boxers are medium-sized dogs but very strong and energetic. You can easily see that their muscular bodies are hidden under their stretched skin. Boxers have a toned body and less fat than other Bull breeds, because they prefer to be active at high intensity. They are about 56 – 63cm tall and 27 – 32kg in male dogs, along with a height of 53 – 61cm and a weight of 24 – 29kg in female dogs.
Boxer dogs have a muscular neck, and their chest is also very enlarged. The forelegs are very strong, they are named after the sport of boxing because they prefer to use their forefoots like boxers, especially when fighting. The head is quite square, moderately large, the skull is curved, the flat forehead suddenly recessed at the contact with the muzzle. They have a black snout, an upturned nose, a non-pointy snout that is flat across. A true Boxer should have a muzzle length equal to 1/3 of the length of the head, and 2/3 of the width of the skull.
