Aldrovandi who is considered the father of modern natural sciences also records a lot of information about the creature he considered to be dragons. As a scientist, he has traveled widely, documenting thousands of species of flora and fauna and creating the first natural history museum.
During a field trip in the outskirts of the city of Bologna on May 13, 1572, Aldrovandi saw a creature longer than one meter long, hissing like a snake. According to the description, this creature has a mammal head, two small front legs, a bulging body with many horn scales, and a pair of wings on the back.
