This Spanish breed originated in the Iberian peninsula and was first recognized as a breed in the 15th century. It is known for its strength as a war horse and is highly regarded by nobles.With long, thick mane and tail, Andalusian is powerful and elegant. While in the past, many different coat colors were found, most Andalusians today are gray or brown with black spots. Currently, they are used for beautification, towing, and also for horse jumping.
Technically, they are not one variety but rather a group that includes several types and varieties, including Hanoverian, Holsteiner, Oldenburg and Trakhner. In horse-raising manuals, Warmbloods are known for their athletic abilities, excelling at jumping and riding for beauty.
