In 1983, the Grateful Dead played for the first time in Hawaii. In 1986, they played again at their yearly New Year’s Eve performance. The last time they played in Honolulu was on December 12, 1995. The 1996 appearance at one of the largest local festivals is their most recent appearance to date.
