If you are buying from a breeder, you should ask them about your criteria: strain, characteristics, or genetic health. If you plan to take your baby to the exam, you should ask about the test results of your child’s parents and grandparents.
Have them show you the baby’s parents (if possible or the child’s family tree, stores in HCMC often lack this). Study the standards for a Guinea Pig and compare them with the child’s parents. If the parents qualify, their children will too.
And make sure you have enough room for your baby to protect him from other pets
