There are a number of reasons for this split. When more than one band plays in a performance, the drums are usually considered part of the backline (the main rhythm device is on stage, which usually includes bass and piano amplifiers) and shared between or among the drummers.
Usually, the primary “ad” action will provide blank, as they are paid more, may have better equipment, and in all cases have their own perks of use. Drumsticks, traps and cymbals, and sometimes other ingredients, are often swapped, with each drummer carrying him.
