The long training period can make the Golden Retriever feel depressed and uninteresting. Even many dogs will resist by not following the owner’s words but by sitting still or running away. Therefore, when training a Golden Retriever dog, you should pay attention to the time and only teach the dog for about 15 to 30 minutes. After that, let your dog play freely and start over in about 1 to 2 hours.
At the same time, the training should be structured to make the dog feel new and excited. Especially, if you notice depression in your dog, stop the exercise. If you try to prolong it, chances are your dog won’t want to practice next time.
